I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still alive and kicking.

Gonna give a brief run down of what is going on in my life:

Relationship: Cassie and I are doing extremely well, we just celebrated our first 6 months together. In about two months we will be living together

Professional: My classes are going smoothly for the time being, those classes are: Business Process Management, Business Law, Technical Writing, Macroeconomics and Water Polo.

Work: I am currently working for Enterprise Computing  Services. At my job I assist in presentations for Banner and Data Warehouse as well as work on special projects. (See my survey entry page: /  I am aware the final part of it is broken, doesn't matter at the moment )

Future Plans: At the moment I am planning on living down in Corvallis during the summer if my job carries over. I will likely be living with Cassie at Oak Vale Apartments in Corvallis. http://www.forrent.com/apartment-community-profile/999905661.php  We will be living in a 1 bed room apartment.

Other News: The past week I have been working on my website, which is still being worked on and upgraded. If you wish to give me feedback or follow my day to day activities check out my website at:

If you wanna keep in contact with me, Facebook is the best way and I am always free to text.

I don't know when my next LJ post will be, but I will still be trolling all of your posts (I read them daily).

I suppose enough in my life has happened for me to warrant a new journal entry. :)

In the most recent news I've decided to change my major from Mechanical Engineering to Management Information Systems in the Business major. I've know for a while that I wasn't going to make it through the engineering program, but I really didn't want to come to terms with that. On the bright side the degree that I'll be getting still has a large job market and reasonable variety with high paying jobs :) In my dream world I would either be managing a network for a school or managing an engineering project (Program Manager).

Since my major is going to give me more free time, I've decided to start studying for A+ certification among a number of others.

I wanted to set two of my classes to Pass/fail status: Physics 211 and Engineering 390. But sadly they are considered "Core" classes in the engineering major and therefor can't not be set to pass/fail. The thing is, I'm changing my major to business so I should in theory be able to change their status. But the business department won't allow that to happen until I attend their Orientation on December 4th, well past the deadline to apply for Pass/Fail. I think you get the idea...

My parents are, according to them, going to give me an answer during thanksgiving break on what my car situation is. But for the time being, my parents are allowing me to barrow the mini-van until that time. Either way, I'll end up buying the Van from my mom or get a cheap junker-esk car until I can afford something better. So, if anyone has a car they are looking to sell that is reliable; I'm looking.

I have applied for a bunch of jobs to help save money for a car and pay of college. Not sure if any of them will get back to me, I probably won't hear anything until January.

My personal life is going really well; I can't even remember the last time it was better. Cassie and I get along amazingly well and I always look forward to seeing her each weekend <3 I'm pretty excited by the idea that she may be coming down to OSU if she decides to change her major to Interior Design.

First week of school has started and I can already tell this is going to be an education and overwhelming year. None of my classes outside of Tumbling show any signs of being easy or relaxing, but at the same time It will be nice to experience challenging material.

Engineering Statics: Week one we were introduced to Vectors and scalars and how they can be applied in real life situations.

Physics 211: The physics department is undergoing a content change and using our class to demo their new class design. Upside, we get to test out all the new technology and hopefully get a better education. Downside, our room is jammed packed with ~200 students, new technology and has no AC to keep it cool. Aside from that, we have only gone of class content with a slight dabble in vectors and technical writing.

MTH254 - Vector Calc: If you haven't spotted the pattern already, I'm learning about vectors in a X,Y,Z coordinate field. The teacher seems well qualified and has descent art skills, which helps with all the drawings he will need to demo.

Engineering Econ: We are currently learning how to deal with compounding interest in monthly and yearly given a set starting/ending amount of cash. I don't really care for business, I'd prefer to leave it as black magic.

Personal life is so-so, I'm trying to do a few different things differently after reading the advice from my last entry. Thanks Everyone :)

Any way, I've gotten myself sick and don't feel like typing anything else. I'll post more after the weekend.

Whelp, it's 9AM and everyone in my suit is still asleep after last nights Freddie's extravaganza.

As I was in the upper floor of Freds looking down at the hundreds of students in a mad frenzy to get the best deal. I did more than observing and laughing at people running and tripping over each other. I started to think to think about the relationship these people had with each other. Thus I came up with a question: Is it better to date someone you settle for or is it better to wait for the perfect one?

I've always had the opinion that my time would be better spent improving my life. Rather than growing attached to someone whom would end up leaving within the year. I have plenty of friends who are willing to listen to my problems and be there for me if needed. So the only reason to settle would be for physical contact and social pressure to date. Now I may be missing the point, and if I am, tell me.

On the other side: Do I honestly want to spend my entire life waiting for the ideal girl? Or would it be better to find someone close to perfect and embrace their faults as they would mine and power through the tough parts? Maybe that is the best possible definition for "ideal" or "perfect" in this case.

What do you guys think?

 Update time, I suppose!

Early this week I had Jury, one of those experiences everyone should be forced to go through at some point. Things start off in a room with approximately 100 or 150 people waiting for their juror number to be called. You will normally spend two to three hours there waiting for a case to decide weather they will have a jury or have a judge decide. Once you are given a case you will be given the tame frame for it to be finished; this can range from 1 day to 7 days... baring no illnesses or time conflicts. If you were to assume this wouldn't take longer than a simple hand raise, how wrong you would be... During my case it took around an hour to complete. After removing all possible candidates for time issues, both the prosecution and defense determine weather or not you can treat everyone fairly. This took around 5 hours.... 5 hours of hearing the same question reworded and asked again and again.... The only redeeming part of the night came from the mouth of one of the jurors. He made it his goal to be the first removed from the trial by relating all of the question to baseball. Here is an example: "How do you feel about witnesses using drugs?"... "Well... it's just like :insert fake baseball player's name:, he kept saying he would quit drugs. But he said that 10 different times and never managed to remain clean for more than a year. Its because of that I have a hard time believing drug users."

In the end, I was removed from the trial.

Note: You can be removed from a trial for knowing to much. In this case, a phycologist from PCC knew to much about judging a person body language. She was the third out of 47 to be removed.

Onto school...

God I can't wait to go back...  I miss learning, seeing my friends on a daily basis and swimming :)

I still need to buy induction pots... so if anyone has a few spares, I'll buy them off you.

Now for video games...

Warhammer Online Open beta starts in a few hours... so I'm excited. But I've gotten sick of having my characters deleted for each phase of beta testing. I understand that it is required, but if my shaman from Preview Weekend Plus isn't carried over to Open beta... I will be sad.

Workish...

For the past week I've been painting my house. We now have about 1 day left of work on the house.

The house is being painted a light green color with a dark brown trim.

I also applied for a tech support position at OSU.

Relationships...

Not a lot going on in my personal life, mostly because I've been keeping myself dead until school starts.

I'm gonna get some sleep now!

I won't be checking my grammar or spelling... since chrome doesn't seem to be checking it for me.

-
Post suggestions or your own list.

Keep it around 15 songs.

Update time!

Life has been sorta dull since school was released, for one reason or another. Either everyone is busy or no one can think of an activity to take part in.

On the bright side, I start my job on Monday. It should be fun, seeing as how I love working with computers.

David, my neighbor from OSU will be spending the night with my family for the 4th. It will be nice having another pyro amongst us for "Blow-Shit-Up-Day".

I've been trying to find another game to play, I was considering starting up my botting business again. But I don't really feel like putting out a several $100 and 3 weeks of botting at the moment. If anyone has game suggests, I could use a few. So far I could only come up with Pre-order Wrahammer online collectors addition (That will let me play in closed beta). Either that or reactivate my hunter account and gear it up.

Our hot tub will be up and running tonight assuming no unforeseen problems with the sealant. On the bright side our pool is extremely warm and filled with foam! Sure, the foam maybe from an overdose of chemicals, but they aren't harmful to humans (Unless you OD).

Not much going on otherwise...

I don't really feel like creating a pity post, considering the wonderful smoke-from-California weather we are having.

Off to play guitar hero, take a nap and swim!

Outside of school, I drove into Portland and saw Dethklok and Chimaira, both are death metal bands :P Dethklok would be commonly known from their TV show Metalocalypse (Adult Swim). I will now be attending more metal concerts, everyone is a lot more intense and alive than at prior concerts I've attended.

Back to study / guitar hero, peace.

I have found love, and its name is coldplay.

Still Alive

My schedule for next year is looking awesome:

4 Credits / 2 Hour Lab / STATICS ENGR / ENGR211
4 Credits / VECTOR CALCULUS I / MTH254
4 Credits / 3 Hour Lab / GENERAL PHYSICS WITH CALCULUS / PH211
3 Credits / ENGINEERING ECONOMY / ENGR390
1 Credit / TUMBLING I

A lot of math, but it look exciting.

It also seems like I may be getting my first 4.0 this semester, wootness!

Outside of school my social life is pretty good, I can only complain about my love life. But considering how good everything is, I won't complain =)

I look forward to seeing everyone this summer!

I have changed my major from Computer and Electrical Engineering to Mechanical Engineering.

After two semester of me doubting my major, I finally changed it.

For the longest time I had pictured EECE to be a profession where you get to work with your hands. Sadly most jobs under this degree involve writing code to run the boards or working with electricity.

Luckily Mechanical Engineering is exactly what I hoped EECE was going to be... so here is hoping things turn out of the best.

In other news I need this semester to end, it will allow me to stop being so depressed.

Hey, I'll be in town this weekend for those of you that want to hang out!

I'd also like some suggests on what should be done with my hair (Including facial)!

Time to Update!

Education:
After my brief week long love affair with my kidney stone, I've discovered it is extremely difficult to catch up on missed material. Despite the fact that all of my work is turned in, it doesn't seems to help me fill in the voids from that week. This is mostly true for my engineering and MTH231 classes, since they started new chapters during that time period.

I discovered today that I have three mid-terms on the same day... Monday... I am really not looking forward to that.

Tomorow and the day after will be defining moments for two of my classes, seeing as how they both have midterms this week. Sadly the engineering exam takes place on the same day I'll be taking two quizzes and attending a Lab.... Oh well =(

Social:
When this area of my life is traveling along "Awesome Street", education must pay.  But I must admit it has been nice getting to meet new people

... (I got bored and stopped typing (5 hours have passed))..

I am extremely stressed over my next few exams...

Not sure if I had mentioned this before, but I have applied to become an RA next year and I'll be finding out if I recived the position in two weeks!

But if that falls apart, I'll be staying in on-campus apartments with a group of friends!

Gotta go study, I MAY update later

Kidney stones suck, so does vomiting from pain =(

I bought myself a computer, and after 3 weeks of waiting Its here!

http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/5851/12270700431bs0.jpg BRIGHT GREEN!!!

Motherboard: AMD 790X CrossFire
Video Card: TWO: ATI Radeon HD 3870 PCI-E x16 512MB
Proc: AMD Phenomâ„¢ X4 9600 Quad-Core CPU w/ HyperTransport Technology
Memory: Only 2 Gigs of DDR2

Along with that I got UT3 / Crysis / Gears of War and Fable (I love the music)

On another note...

If anyone wants to meet up some time during break, I'm almost out of time before I go back to college.

(no subject)

It's that time of the year, college has started and I'm overdue for an update!
  • Lets see, I've joined two clubs OSU Gaming and OSU Robotics Club!
  • I work out 4 days a week for about 1 hour maybe more depending.
  • Meeting new people left and right, still looking for people to study with!
  • I bought a bike since walking around campus was getting too time consuming.
  • Taking 16 credit hours atm
    • ECE111: Computer and Electrical engineering basics
      • My teacher uses ventrilo for people that don't wish to attend the class and would rather sit in their rooms
    • MTH112: Pre-Calc
      • The teacher is extremely hard to understand, so I've been taking trips to the TA's office for extra help!
    • HHS231: Health Class
      • Teacher is pretty awesome and really enjoys what he does, but the class does have 300 people in it =(
    • HHS241: Curves?
      • All the other PE classes I wanted were filled.... so I'm in the college version of curves..
    • BA160: Entrepreneurship Class
      • Very innovative class and only open for people within my dorm complex!
Now for the fun part!

So I haven't gotten a chance to keep in touch with many of the people from Forest Grove. Thats why if anyone would like to come down to Corvallis and say Hello, I'd be more than willing to have you. The Rec center has a great Hot Tub and swimming pool if that should so interest you, and I can get you in for free =)

Just give me a few days notice and if you come on the weekend you are welcome to spend that night, since my roommate is often gone during that time.

I think thats enough typing for now, don't feel like talking about myself anymore... Lets hear from you...
